RTV Tools: Enhancing Productivity through Automated BIM interface

Jason Howden,CEO & Director, RTV ToolsJason Howden, CEO & Director
The architecture, engineering and construction space has turned its course alongside the putsch of modern applications and tools over the traditional complex processes of construction. From modelling to structural designs, each process and stage of construction is now digitally derived and analysed through a set of tools that lays down the groundwork for quality building solutions. The numerous drawings, designs and their complexity is all drawn down to a single digital platform that governs it all. To empower companies with such a digital platform and to reduce the complexity of the construction process, RTV Tools was founded in 2007.

Clients demand an improved approach towards their property portfolio that can manoeuvre the flow of assets and deliver quicker, cost effective building designs. RTV Tools delivers applications and plug-ins to Autodesk Revit – exclusive design software specially built for Building Information Modelling (BIM) that specializes in building designs, structural engineering and construction. “Our Xporter PRO application allows our customers to run automated scheduled tasks within Revit daily, through the night and even over weekends without any interaction from staff, allowing project teams to focus on designing and constructing their projects,” explains Jason Howden, CEO & Director, RTV Tools.
Altogether the whole process of BIM for Revit users worldwide has become more automated and less time consuming with installed plug-ins and apps introduced throughout the platform of Autodesk Revit. These extra plug-ins innovate the solutions according to the need of the customer in different processes like Project Drawing, Documentation, Document transmittals, Project Modelling, Design Information etc.

Being an authorized Autodesk developer, RTV tools benefits from the extra support and exposure that Autodesk provides, to create a platform of tools to automate building design processes including Drawing Management, Reporting and Scheduling. Xporter, Xporter PRO, Drawing Manager, RTV Reporter, and RTV Paint are some other flagship products helping RTV Tools help deliver quality BIM solutions.

RTV Tools’ Xporter PRO application allows our customers to run automated scheduled tasks within Revit daily, through the night and even over weekends without any interaction from staff

Altogether RTV Tools introduces the system, a new automated platform to create, schedule, and report the data without any hamper. The RTV Reporter helps create and edit scheduled reports with a built-in report engine including furniture schedules, door and window schedules, and bill material schedules. Meanwhile the RTV Shared Parameter database centrally stores all the Autodesk Revit shared parameters, RTV Drawing manager helps manage all the documentation in the BIM, and RTV Paint helps color the BIM.

After becoming an Authorized Autodesk Developer in 2008, RTV Tools has been featured as in Top 10 Revit Apps at Autodesk University in 2013..
